Soggy morning, not quite rain not quite fog. In contrast to our two previous matches, today we experienced cold weather that lingered in the mid 50s for the duration of the match. We also had stronger, swirling wind in the 8-12mph range.

9 Lanes, with 3 Targets per Lane with a freebie thrown in for good measure. A few malfunctions, including the wind sawing off one string against a rock a few times.
The Western States and AAFTA GP Match will be held next week 03/07 - 03/09
We were blessed again with Sunny weather in the high 70s though this time the wind arrived at around 10:30 am steadily building to about 8-10 MPH and hung around enough that it could not be ignored.

Same layout as last match, 8 lanes w/ 3 targets per lane for a total of 48 shots. This time we had smaller kill zones towards the top of the course, most were unfaced and did quite well. As expected George Doganis was the high score for this match, and he was also the only one to clean both forced position lanes. Great shooting by all, but George had the drop on all of us, Great job George.
With the Sonoran Grand prix Happening 02/28 - 03/02/2025 and some of the guys attending that match we might have to discuss weather or not we'd like to shoot Sunday 03/02. Keep you posted!
The Weather report stated the day did not get any hotter than 67 degrees but it honestly felt pleasantly hotter, right around mid 70s, Perfect weather to a great first match. The wind though noticeable, was very manageable and inactivity might have been our Achilles heel this day.. that's the story and we're sticking to it!
Open Freestyle - Larry Durham - USFT- 39
Open-Vincent Pacheco - USFT - 33
Open - Ron Jobbes - CRX Big Red - 24
Hunter - Tim Robinson - Styer - 36
WFTF PCP - Roger Lovette - USFT - 19
WFTF PCP - J. Carrera - Styer - 39
The course consisted of 8 lanes with 3 targets per Lane. Lane 5 was standing, and only Larry managed to clean it.. Lane 8 was kneeling, Which Roger and Ron chose to shoot standing, and they both did rather well with only the third and farthest target eluding both. We only had one actual malfunction but Tim sort it that out quickly, the offending cinder block will be affixed before the next match.
The agreement is to meet the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month. For a few of the members Sunday is the only day they have available and we'll strive to accommodate them. This should also open up more opportunities for those that want to shoot more matches once CASA resumes activities. Barring unexpected changes our next club match should be 02/16/25
